Brewster Little League became a chartered member of Little League Baseball Incorporated, in 1952. At the time, the entire league consisted of four teams who played their games behind the Garden Street School. The Girls Softball League was started in 1976 with four 13-15 year old teams and an All-Star team that competed after the season. We have divisions for children between the ages of 5 to 18 years old.

Brewster Little League offers Baseball, Softball, a Challenger Division, and opportunities for "Travel" ball.

In 2013 Little League changed its residency requirements to allow children to play in the local league where they go to school. To verify enrollment, parents will need to bring an official school document, such as a report card or school enrollment form, confirming enrollment in the school for the current academic year, dated before October 1, 2013. Read the full text of the new rule here.

Boys must reside within the borders of the Town of Southeast or attend a Brewster Central School, exceptions are made for younger siblings of girls who are already in our program, but may live in a town without a Little League Softball program.

Girls should reside within the borders of the Town of Southeast or attend a Brewster Central School, execptions are made for girls who live in a town without a Little League Softball program.

Please contact the League President if you have any questions about player eligibility.

In 2013 Brewster Little League created a Challenger Division as part of our program. The Challenger Division of Little League is a program for developmentally and physically challenged youths, helping them to enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. More than the skills of baseball learned through the experience, the value of the Little League Challenger Division is found in the proven therapeutic and socialization benefits of participating in sports, the strengthening of the participant's self-esteem, and developing the disciplines of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.
