GREETINGS PARENTS AND PLAYERS :
Thank you for getting you sons to practice last night. We had all in attendance with the exception of Brian, who is on vacation and will return to the line up next week.
We were bumped from our practice field last night for a travel team game. The guys sat and watched the first inning as a group.
As I stood behind the bleacher and listened to the back and forth between the guys, I was struck at the relationships that have formed and how these guys have gone from a bunch of shy guys to a team.
We were able to move to the batting cages with each player getting plenty of reps. All the guys looked good. Guys are seeing the ball well and really getting some power behind each swing. We have had a bunch of work this week at the plate and it will be interesting to see how that transfers to the games on Saturday morning. We also had the opportunity to have pitchers throw and stay in form.
We will be playing the other Brentwood team this Saturday morning at Granny White Park. Our games are at 9am and 11am. Please make sure that all players are at the ball park by no later than 8:30am.
Please ask your sons to visualize good things in their dreams on Friday night and to come to the ball park on Saturday morning with effort and attitude.
I look forward to seeing everyone at Granny White Park on Saturday morning at 8:30am.
